 The first Fun Games of the School of Electronics and Information Engineering (SEIE) was held at the South Playground on March 28th. The Fun Games were organised  by the Student Union of the SEIE. More than 400 students as well as the counsellor of the SEIE, Wensi Han, were present at it.

The games drew its curtain at 9:00 o'clock sharp as scheduled. Having prepared for several minutes, all the students were gearing up for the games. The first game, tug of war, tremendously lifted up students’ spirits. Instantly,The South Playground converted into a stage where people showed their talents and expressed their feelings, filled with laughter and applause. Ten classes of the SEIE were divided into five groups. When the judge declared the start of the tug of war, all the students pulled the rope with their utmost strength, causing audience to shout loudly in order to boost their morale. These participants inclined their bodies as much as possible in order to triumph over the opponents, with their faces flushed and sweats dripping from the faces.

 

 

Afterwards, ten classes participated in an activity called step out their balloons, which requested them to attach four ballons to their legs and try to step out others’ balloons as well as to avoid their own ballonns being blastedThey moved cautiously, meanwhile, they were always prepared to step out others’ balloons. If someone took no notice of the opponents around himself, his balloons might burst. During their interactions, audience burst into laughter owing to the amusing gestures and facial expressions while they were totally soaking in the fun and competitive game.

 

Then came the soccer game. After three-round competitions, Class Two and Class four and were qualified for the final. After twenty-minute competition, it turned out surprisingly they broke even. Finally, On account of point system, class one of Communication Engineering came first at the Fun games, followed by class three of Information Engineering.

 

Ma Xiang, chairman of the student union of the SEIE announced the first Fun Games of the SEIE came to an end successfully, with resouding applauding. “We agreed to hold this game with the purpose of making you more unitive and amusing you in the boring course of learning. I wish all of you will overcome the hurdles you may meet in the furture with the same passion and gut you showed today. ” , said Wensi Han.
